Autism Spectrum Disorders

Tommy MacKay has played a central role throughout has professional career in seeking to improve the quality of life of people with autism and their families, as teacher, researcher, educationalist, clinician, therapist, expert witness and author.

He has published extensively in many aspects of autism spectrum disorder, including diagnosis, training and social and clinical interventions.

He is Clinical Director of the National Diagnosis and Assessment Service for Autistic Spectrum Disorders, was a member of the Scottish Government group which produced the Scottish Strategy for Autism and Co-Founded the National Centre for Autism Studies and post-graduate training programme at the University of Strathclyde.
